Watoga State Park is located in the mountains of Pocahontas County just 14 miles south of Marlinton, West Virginia. The park consists of 10,100 acres filled with a multitude of recreational activities including hiking, swimming, fishing and boating.
Vacation cabins are open year-round. Watoga Lake is known for excellent fishing opportunities and included in the Division of Natural Resources stocking program.
Watoga visitors that bike and hike take advantage of the access to the Greenbrier River Trail in addition to the miles of hiking trails located on the state park. A multipurpose building, CCC museum and observation tower are a few of the unique features you’ll find at Watoga State Park.
Beginning January 1, 2018, Watoga will begin taking group reservations for cabin rentals of three or more cabins for up to two years in advance from the first date of the month. Group reservations for three or more cabins assists reunions and larger families to plan for travel in advance. Currently cabins may be reserved for up to one year in advance.
